#SciFi! Sir Ridley has given an update to the press on the Alien Prequel…time to start planting the seeds and maneuvering my way to get in front of the man.
BODY/ TRAINING UPDATE
From when I started I am down 6.5 pounds (from my heaviest fluctuation). I have 4 pounds to go depending on muscle gain.
I have plateaued at 22 regular pushups- goal is 30.
Time to cut some more fat so that I can define the abs and arms more.
What works to cut the fat? No alcohol. Honestly. When we were shooting I was getting very little sleep, not eating very well and even drinking soda- but no alcohol. My tendency for adult breakouts stopped and I came back to LA a pound lighter than when I left. Go figure.
Wish I didn’t like wine so much, but ran into a friend who has lost a good deal of weight and she attributed it to cutting back on the alcohol as well. I guess we’re not 21 anymore!
Time for a quick elliptical session and some burpies (squat jump kickbacks) while catching up on a bit of Supernatural before getting back to work.
#SciFri people!

Well hello there! What? Where have I been? Well on assignment of course. No, I can’t tell you where except that I was surrounded by green panels, smoke and stealthy cameras. Did my Operation Babe training prove to be helpful on this first mission since beginning the program? Why yes, yes it did. I was able to survive on very little sleep and lifted heavy equipment with general ease- as well I drove a monstrous vehicle through the perils of downtown (you should see me back into a parking spot with poles on both sides). I may have some bruises on my legs, bags under my eyes and a few more grey hairs (ok a lot more) than when I left, but I achieved the objective.
Now time to take some vitamins and hit the gym.
I hear there’s an Alien movie update out there on the interwebs…I’ll pass it along soon and we’ll figure out how to chat with Sir Ridley about me kicking some Alien’s Ass.
This picture should help.

Dear people of the interwebs,
I have a quick minute while under the cover of night to get a message out to you. Operation BABE is fully in effect but due to things I cannot reveal, it will have to go dark for a few weeks. Once I have achieved my secret objectives, a full briefing with pictures will be published. Wish me luck as I will need it, do at least 30 minutes of cardio daily and remember…chicken and broccoli is your friend.
Yours in all things badass

In an attempt to boost my health, I ate lunch at Erewon (after running into a dear friend who basically lives at the place so we went together for lunch). Erewon is that supposed bastion of all food products healthy, organic and or vegan adjacent to The Grove on Beverly Blvd. I had a quinoa/ pesto/ roasted vegetable thing, cocoanut water and later a small vegan cookie (made of almond flour, cocoanut oil, agave, stuff like that).
I also bought some gogi berries as they are high in anti oxidants and other stuff.
The result? I am honestly so stuffed right now I need to nap and can’t get the pesto taste out of my mouth. It was definitely delicious but with all the cocoanut oil I consumed I feel like I should be floating to Hawaii. Plus my stomach is making some crazy sounds. The kicker- sooo expensive!! It made whole foods look like Walmart. But who knows, I could probably make the same type of food and not have to spend $10 on a quinoa salad…and I didn’t love the cocoanut water as much as my friend said I would so I don’t have to worry about spending that $2’s again.
Looking forward to some salad. And after Tuesday, some french fries. :)

It’s so strange how ever since I got back from Comic Con and started this Endeavor, I have been sick on an off…why???
I’m eating uber healthy, exercising ALOT, taking a day off here and there when I need to, drinking tons of water and getting decent sleep (like between 7 and 8 hours!).
But every week or so I start feeling rundown with a slightly sore throat and my cough perks up. Grr!!
I even was at the doctor a few weeks ago and remember hearing how my blood pressure was 110/70 or was it even 100/60? I just remember thinking ‘that’s lower than it used to be…’ Apparently it means my fitness level is up as my resting heart rate is lower.
So, what should I do? Acupuncturist? Hollistic Doctor? I just want to feel 100%.
I’m getting pretty strong though. And I bought myself a new pair of jeans for auditions. They’re great, and the size 27” that has been ‘snug’ on me in recent months is almost a little big.
But I want to be healthy!!!!!
Thoughts?

You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
It’s time that you won

I kinda love those lyrics…not about the suffering but about not fighting against yourself.
Yes I know I’ve been away from OPERATION BABE for a week.
But I’m back!

Pursuant to my last post about David Kirsch and his website (I don’t know if it linked to twitter, Tumblr was giving me attitude) I’m going to do a David Kirsch workout this morning that I pulled from his blog and his article in Brides.com (bridal magazines…scary)
1. 30-45 minutes of cardio
2. 15-25 pushups (my max is 20 right now so will push to 22)
3. Plie squats on toes (haven’t tried it this way yet)
4. Cross lunges (where you cross your leg over the other one as you lunge - sounds uncomfortable but its for the side of the glute)
5. Oblique side crunches
Grabbing some breakfast, finishing my coffee, returning some emails, then I’m off to the gym! Busy busy day ahead.

2 Week Online Makeover

Tricks of the Trade?

The Book

Apparently he can sculpt any butt
I’ve always been curious about celebrities and their trainers. I’ve heard numerous accounts of stars going in for a screen test or a meeting prior to shooting and looking nothing like they do on screen (ie. looking like they’ve been feasting on brie and baguettes like the rest of us) but the studio is assured that the celeb will look fab by the time shooting starts. How is that possible? How can someone go from regular to camera skinny (which is 10 pounds less than skinny?) With help. Lots of it.
David Kirsch is one of those trainers that helps make it happen (Heidi Klum post baby hello?) and he has a pretty cool website with lots to offer, including an online membership for $16 a month (not too bad?) that sends you meal tips, workouts and helps you do a 2 week Ultimate Body Plan. The Plan isn’t pretty: no alcohol, no bread, no starchy carbs, no extra sweets and no fruit or fat. I can’t survive without my berries or my agave in my coffee every morning and y’all know how hard it is for me not to have my glass of vino at night. But maybe it’s easier when you have an online community behind you. What do you think of all the supplements and products he also offers? Has any of that sort of stuff worked to keep you on track diet wise? I’m always a sceptic until proven wrong when it comes to miracle in a pill. Regardless, his site and his blog tend to support the theory that to change your body, you have to work really hard and restrict what goes into your mouth. That, I already knew, but it’s nice to have some help.
Any other fitness sites that you like out there on the interwebs??
